In honor of Galentine’s Day, we ladies who geek celebrated one another in high fashion this month at our lunch at RJ Mexican Cuisine of Dallas! We were in a private room and had excellent service all afternoon as we talked about our geeky passions.
We were again treated to some fun activities, including a word scramble, some scratch off card games, and of course lots of decorations and craft materials! We all made our own bags to put valentines in, with the lovely markers, stickers, and other artsy supplies. We also gave valentines to one another with fun geeky themes, and some ladies brought candy and other goodies to share.
The food and drinks were excellent! We started with guacamole, salsa, and queso for everyone down the table, and then we all got to select from among the delicious entrees. We also ended up getting several desserts to share – the fried cheesecake and chocolate cake were mouthwateringly delicious. Some of us also got coffee with bailey’s for a truly decadent drink.
The raffle items were all themed to celebrate female friendships, including some cute glasses and an adorable rolling pin. The highlight of the raffle was probably the Fraggle, though – so cute!
We also met for our happy hour at The Quarter Bar to discuss Black Panther, so keep an eye out for that event recap soon! We have our Harry Potter Magical Cocktail Class special event happening this Saturday in Euliss, from 1 to 4pm, so make sure you join us for loads of fun! We will also have our monthly brunch/lunch at Bravo! in Fort Worth at noon on March 10; tickets are available here. Our March happy hour (free!) will be on March 21 at the Barnes and Noble Kitchen in Plano; please RSVP here.
